Sometimes, when there is some downtime around the shop, we like to play dress up. Welcome to this month’s adventure!
We are only five months into the year and figured it was a good time for our first post of 2024 :-)

Cream stripes and everything nice! This top is made of the most lovely silk. Once you put it on, you will never want to take it off! Pair it with a fun crinkly cupro pant that will be an instant classic with its long straight leg and elastic waistband. Top it all off with a new cotton canvas coat and you are all set! But how did I almost forget the pièce de résistance, the BQE sunnies by Eva Masaki? This tortoise colorway is *Chef’s Kiss* perfect.
We had another version of this dress (I believe) in our first order with Maku. It is not online yet but it is worth the wait! It is made of a magical cotton/silk jamdani fabric. Jamdani is the process of fabric being handwoven; the artisan goes in and carefully weaves additional motifs into the fabric, like the little flowers on this dress. It is a really amazing process! This dress has such an easy shape and the fabric has the most beautiful shine to it in the sun. It is really a wonderful dress that you will reach for time and time again!

First, let’s talk about the pants! We are so happy to carry High Sport at the shop - because they are the pants you’ve been looking for but haven’t found. One of the most common requests we get when people walk into the shop is that they want clothes that are smaller and our clothes are TOO BIG! Well, here are some fitted pants that take you day to night and go with pretty much anything. Now that they have arrived, I can’t help but wish I’d ordered myself a pair too. I’m also a big fan of the Orwell Shirt from Sara Lanzi, one of my favorite designers. I thought the Nothing Written Suede blazer paired well, a great spring jacket option.
First, I apologize - the gingham dress is not online yet. But you can find it in the shop if you come by in person, or you can wait a week to two and it will be online - or you can email us! It’s a crinkly cotton dream, we have it in natural x cream and also black x cream. I’m wearing it with another current favorite from Oliver Church, the Big Coat in Antique linen. This coat has so many great details, and there are so many pockets you won’t need a bag, which is always a win for me!

Thanks for coming to our first post of 2024 - hopefully the next post will be sooner than six months! :-P
